I really like the Joe Grey books; I just downloaded 3 more. They are not exceptionally well written; she over-explains the history of each character for those who haven't read the previous books, and she overuses certain phrases (the cats always scorch up trees). But her characters are interesting, and the angle she takes on the cats being not quite cats is an intriguing one.This episode has a bit more adventure and danger than some of the others and some more clues to the cat's unusual past. For those of you reading this series who have not done so, I recommend the companion book, the Catswold Portal.Product details

I loved all the previous books but this one went too much into description of how the rich live. A lot of people live in small apartments can’t remodel those
First Cat? The narrator is Joe Gray, a cat, not a person. Solving mysteries is his thing. If you enjoyed "The Cat Who....." series, you'll like these as well. The cats seek out the answers and pass them on to the police. Fun to read.
This is about the 10th Joe Grey Mystery I have read and I have loved every one of them, a very consistent author.
Cat Seeing Double is the 8th book in this wonderful mystery series. If you love cats and fast moving mysteries, you’ll love this series. I recommend you read them in order because each story has references to past stories. You’ll also know how and when each character entered Joe’s life. The stories all have some ‘ahhh’ moments, some sad moments, and lots of ‘edge of the seat’ fast moments. I am thoroughly enjoying them.
I just plain enjoy this series of books by this author. I love cats & especially Joe Grey, Dulcie & Kit. I like how they help solve murders. This one is as good as the rest. Each one could stand alone.
I was not able to read all in order and and this was not a problem for me. Shirley Rousseau Murphy understand cats & how they think. Her books are easy to read and they are clean. Several 4 letter words, no sex... thankfully
In Molina Point romance is in the air as preparations are made for the wedding of Charlie and Max. Kit is above the church watching when see overheard a conversation about a bomb. She alerts about Cldye to the danger and stills the preps from killing the wedding party. The next morning Ryan's estranged husband is found dead in the basement of Ryan's home. Joe and Dulice work to clear Ryan while Kit sets about to find the bomber.
It was an added bonus to have an intelligent dog added to our cats in this book. I hope we see more of him in the next book. So many loose ends were taken care of in this story. I liked the teenager finally taking a turn at spilling the beans on the villains. He'd been scared into being suite and close mounted. There was also the family matter to avenge and be quiet about. As always our main people were involved, some knowing the truth about the cats and their help to the police. A very good read. One you'll probably enjoy. Almost as much as I f have.
