Reading this will help develop a richer perspective on how to savor not just music but those little moments in life that end up having the biggest impact.
Light, airy read. It's just the thing for a daydreamer like me. Music carries me to all kinds of places and so the author touched me that way. My own memories coupled with certain songs or albums. Van Morrison and Johny Coltrane will always make me remember a certain love affair. Enjoy this little escape.

The author uses vibrant words and writes with a gentle hand. The music she describes is deep in her soul. I hope she continues to write because I felt great warmth and joy in reading her book.
Ms. Carey eloquently and brilliantly outlines the soundtrack to her life, discussing vivid memories that range from Van Morrison, Joni Mitchell and The Beatles to Jeff Buckley, Dave Matthews and Neutral Milk Hotel. After reading her book, you will want to not only listen to all of her album picks, but create your own as well. Great read!
Brought me back decades to a time when music was in the front row of life. I finished the book wanting more detail, specific lyrics and the emotions they connected with. Spent the next few days mentally compiling my own "Dozen", remembering the feelings they evoked and the memories they continue to refresh and reinforce.
